Pop Go The Curls

As a naturalista, there’s nothing quite like a fierce fro, except maybe some curls that seriously pop! Curl definition is another part of natural hair versatility that can be so much fun to take advantage of. From turning a teeny weeny afro into a head full of tightly coiled ringlets or shingling the beautifully textured hair of a seasoned naturalista to form cascading curls, curl definition is gorge!

We asked the Curly Christians Instagram nation what products they used to define their curls and here’s what they had to say:

@ewebb1920: Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie and Ecostyler gel

@ericalynnjones: Just started using cantu coconut curling cream. I also have As I Am twisting cream, but it’s kinda stickily? Maybe I used too much

@naturallyqiqi: As I Am Curling Jelly

@MissJessies “Pillow Soft Curls”

@smiles_laughter_love: Miss Jessies baby soft curl cream

@sweetestsaranade: Cantu Coconut curling cream in the fall & Miss Jessie’s Multicultural curls in the summer. My backup product is TGIN buttercream moisturizer

@nakiaamour: Nakia Amour Curl Enhancing Gel

@itswheretheheartis: Deva curl styling cream or cantu coconut curling cream

@tots_5678: I use coconut oil & Tresemme Naturals Conditioner

To celebrate natural hair curls, here’s a look at some beauties with seriously dope curls that go POP!
