On The Met Gala Red Carpet

Last night the Met Gala Red Carpet was on fire with some amazing looks!  One after the other these unique dresses poured in. It was quite a scene. Before I get into some of the great looks of the evening I thought it might help to add some insight as to what this event is about.

The Met Gala is an annual fundraising event that benefits the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in NYC.  The event marks the grand opening of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibit. Each year there’s a theme that represents the year’s Costume Institute exhibition. Guests are  expected to choose their attire to match the theme of the exhibit. This year’s theme, Chinese Heritage. With that, let’s take a look at some of these fab looks from last night!

Solange never ceases to amaze me. She makes this Unique Giles dress look fab!

Rhiana went all in with this Guo Pei couture gown with a dramatic train.

Sarah Jessica Parker most definitely turned heads in this elaborate Philip Treacy headpiece

Although radiant Beyoncé didn’t leave much to the imagination with this gold Givency gown.

I loved Zendaya in this Fausto Puglisi dress.

Janelle Monae embraced the Chinese heritage and looked beautiful doing it in this black and white custom H&M dress.

And lastly Kim looked lovely in this feathered train gown by Roberto Cavalli

All in all a beautiful and creative night for fashion! What were some of your favorite looks?

Culotte Conversation

Ok, I’ll admit it, this spring trend has got my full attention. Anytime you pair comfort and chic style you’re bound to peak my interest. Culottes had a major presence on the runway during the Spring 2015 shows, and now I see a lot of beauties rocking them.

This wide legged look may have some of you stumped on how to pair them. If that’s the case I’ve got some great inspiration for you today. From the runway to street style, here are some ideas on how to rock culottes this spring.
